Ayuda para instalar Cinelerra en Ubuntu 9.10

Hola,

Hace poco instale Ubuntu 9.10 y pues ando muy verde en esto. estoy tratando de instalar un programa para editar video: Cinelerra. Los post que he visto en el foro de ubuntu mencionan que es un poco complicada su instalacion. Encontre una instrucciones que van asi:

1. Enable universe, multiverse and restricted

Make sure you have following line uncommented in your /etc/apt/sources.list

for breezy:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu breezy universe multiverse restricted

for dapper:

deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu dapper universe multiverse restricted

2. Add mjpegtools ubuntu backport

for breezy:

deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ub...ezy/mjpegtools ./

for dapper:

deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ub...per/mjpegtools ./

3. Add cinelerra build for your arch:

for breezy:

- i686:
deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ub...inelerra/i686/ ./
- athlonxp:
deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ub...erra/athlonxp/ ./
- pentium4:
deb http://www.kiberpipa.org/~gandalf/ub...erra/pentium4/ ./

for dapper:

Installation:

apt-get update
apt-get install cinelerra

Certainly not that hard

La verdad que no le entiendo. A donde va esta informacion? en la terminal? Que es breezy y dapper? Como saber cual usa mi maquina? clique en los links y me mando a unos directorios, que onda con esto?

Bueno, se que son muchas preguntas y espero que me puedan ayudar.

en la pagina de cinelerra esta el .deb (este es para ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala) es como el .exe en windows.

o siguiendo estas instrucciones:

cinelerra-swtc (extra Shape Wipe Transitions)
- Ubuntu Karmic uses Pulse Audio as Sound driver. Since it comes with a PulseAudio ESD compatibility layer, Cinelerra can be set to work with PulseAudio. Simply open Cinelerra and go to Settings->Preferences->Playback->Audio Driver. Select ESound and set the following parameters:
Server:
Port: 7007
- These packages set shmmax to 0x7fffffff and add non-English language support for Cinelerra.

acabo de leer y cinelerra se instala en un .deb a travez de GDebi..

y sieg ya te paso el link de el .deb
