Ayuda con WiFi en Acer Extensa 4620z con Ubuntu

Saludos compañeros.

Ojalá puedan ayudarme, les comento.

1. Instalé la mas reciente versión de Ubuntu (10.10) en mi Extensa 4620z, en un arranque dual con Win XP (Ba-k ).

2. El problema que tengo es que no reconoce que tengo adaptador inalambrico en la lap, en WinXP no hay problema pero en Ubuntu, ni siquiera aparece algo que me indique que puedo ingresar al WiFi de la red de mi casa, por cable no hay problema, ya actualicé pero la finalidad no es la de estar con cables .

3. Ojalá puedan darme un consejo o ayuda al respecto, ya he leído algunas cosas en internet pero la verdad dada mi novatez en este SO, me es dificil entenderle a esto de Linux.

Vete a tu consola y escribe el comando:

lspci

Copias el resultado y lo colocas aquí ...

Según puedes observar en lo marcado en negritas, ese es el fabricante y modelo de tu T. inalambrica, por tanto solo debes buscar ese controlador para tu Ubuntu ...

Leyendo por ahí, di con que es un problema recurrente entre esa distro y ese modelo ...

Date una pasada por esta pagina y seguro solucionas tu problema, si no, ya tienes tu fabricante y modelo y puedes googlear hasta dar con la respuesta =) ...
