American folklore goes nutty and smutty with Frankie and Johnnie... Were Lovers, especially since Frankie is played by everyone's favorite pouty-cheeked sex starlet, RENE BOND, and Johnnie is her frequent co-star and then-paramour, RIC LUTZE. Frankie's an aspiring singer with $30,000 and a scary ex-husband (JACK BUDDLINER of The Adult Version of Jekyll & Hide). Johnnie's a "stupid car junkie" with a Prince Valiant haircut and double-breasted leisure suits. Johnnie is actually a sneering heel who's hoping to get his hands on Frankie's thirty grand which he wants to invest in the world's "first safety car." He's also got the hots for Frankie's best friend, Alice Blye (a dazzlingly fresh and freckled CYNDEE SUMMERS). Of course, the centerpiece of all this madness is the adorable smut pixie, Rene Bond. A lovely blend of girl-next-door innocence and cheerleader randiness, of flowerchild sexuality and sultry siren libido, Rene turns on the heat from her opening rendition of the title tune to her closing boa-crowned torch ballad, and gracefully steals the show. She's also a wonderful exhibitionist.
